NEC Slashing Costs Though Lower External Procurement

According to information provided by NEC, the company will try to reduce costs for outsourcing by 40 billion Yen in the fiscal year 2006, which starts in April 2006, instead manufacturing key components within the conglomerate. This decision has been triggered by a continued drop off in sales, which are expected to fall by 500 billion Yen in the fiscal year 2005.
